Peeper (Wiwied Gunawan, Epy Kusnandar, Tiara, Ara, Supri ‘Tornado’, Pak Merdeka) - Ray Nayoan
A Peeping Tom finds his comeuppance in the backstage of a Wayang Orang dance theater. An exploration of the other meaning of ‘love blinds’ by Ray Nayoan.
“This short movie is a tribute to the theme of sexploitation in Indonesia and through it I seek to 'peep' into our voyeuristic culture. As in the cinema, where exoticism is often projected as eroticism, the Wayang Orang theatre stage carries a transformation more subtly. I chose an episode that tells the story of Sarpanaka-the seductress sister of the evil King Rahwana – to show that event the sacred world of Wayang carries the subtext of violence and sex, thus it is not all about the good triumph over the evil, but simply that evil exists.” - Ray A.J. Nayoan
Director : Ray A.J. Nayoan
Having completed films studies in Canada Ray is an active fan of 1980's Indonesian exploitation movies. Here he takes the challenge to project the country's sexploitation theme onto screen in Peeper.
The Rescue (Eva Celia, Ananda George, Tegar Satrya, Sogi Indra Dhuaja, Reuben Elishama, Norman Rivianto Akyuwen) - Raditya Sidharta
The Rescue is a fast-paced chase through an apocalyptic Jakarta inhabited with cannibalistic ‘sub-humans’. A patrol of mobile brigadier Gegana Special Forces must lead civilian survivors to safety before they are all infected.
“The Rescue was inspired by my curiosity to foreign government activities in my country, in particular the Namru-2 (Naval Medical Research Unit 2) Project ran by the United States Government. The film questioning the readiness of our defence forces in the case of a state of emergency arising from a breakdown of such operation. The filming of this movie was fuly supported by GEGANA, Indonesia's National Police special force. Our actors received proper and intensive training for one week. We shot the movie in the old part Jakarta, under the supervision of Brian Yuzna. This movie is dedicated to my father, a real action movie fan.” - Raditya Sidharta
Director : Raditya Sidharta

Titisan Naya – Incarnation of Naya (Dinna Olivia, Junior Lim, Dewi Irawan) - Riri Riza
During her family’s traditional sacred-dagger cleansing-ritual a skeptical teenager discovers that her ancestors are not just an old memory.
“This story is my respond to an Indonesian family tradition – a ritual where religion and shamanism meet. This is something that I have experienced and was once afraid of. At the same time, I would like to portray the attitude of young people who are often cynical towards such things. Even though what happens in this story is not real, the eeriness can be felt by most young Indonesians. By playing with tension, suspense, lighting and dramatic camera play, I aim to make the audience 'smell' the scent of kemenyan (Javaness incense)..” - Riri Reza
Directors : Riri Reza

Developing the script with him was a great experience. To work with such big stars as Shanty and Fauzi and to witness special effects master Orlando Bassi working his magic was unforgettable.
