Gabrielle Murray
A Senior Lecturer in the Media and Cinema Studies program at La Trobe University in Australia. Her research areas include screen violence, phenomenology, film and philosophy, and aesthetics. She has published in journals including Jumpcut: A Review of Media, Metro, Refractory: A Journal of Entertainment Media, Senses of Cinema, and Screening the Past. She has contributed chapters to the anthologies The Cinema of Australia and New Zealand, Stars in Our Eyes: The Star Phenomenon in the Contemporary Era and Super/Heroes and she is the author of This Wounded Cinema, This Wounded Life: Violence and Utopia in the Films of Sam Peckinpah
Since moving to Australia in the year 2000, Tito Ambyo has been a producer of a television show, a filmmaker, and a writer. He is now a journalist and broadcaster, producing news and current affairs programs at ABC Radio Australia in English and Indonesian, co-editor of an Australian-Indonesian blog, www.rantang.com.au, as well as a postgraduate student at the University of Melbourne.
