For many, the full moon is a beautiful moment, as the night becomes brighter and warmer when this peculiar phenomenon occurs. However, this is not the case for Nirma, an orphan who lives in a house by the sea. At high tide, which happens every full moon, the sea level rises, causing seawater to overflow and flood the village. Consequently, the villagers have been forcing Nirma to sacrifice her house in exchange for land, so that a dam could be built to protect the village from future floodings. Before demolishing the house, Mus, the community leader, needs to attain Nirma’s father’s approval, yet this proves to be hard to achieve. In the midst of this struggle, Nirma attempts to cremate the dead body of her father at a traditional crematorium centre near the house; this leads to Mus’s suspicion of her mysterious actions. As a result, Nirma’s house is eventually demolished in the following full moon.
