The Indonesian Film Festival has a clear purpose and place in the arts community in Australia. It celebrates and fosters the development and presentation of new artistic work through short and documentary film productions and screenings among the Indonesian community and independent artists. The Short Film Competition is held annually to stimulate artistic creativity of aspiring students film-makers in regards of short film production. It acts as an opportunity to showcase the work of Indonesian talents all over the world through our media and communication channels.
On the competition this year, ‘Golden ‘Kris’ – awarded to Best Short Film winner – is our highest appreciation to recognize the excellency and audacity. It is our aim that the joviality of this competition will attract talented filmmakers of all ages, including families, young professionals and film students. As an information and resource network, which represents Indonesian filmmakers film artwork, The IFF Short Film Competition would hopefully have significant cultural impact and put up a great cinematic experience for artists, audiences and the general public at local, national and international level.
